    This weekend: Free Movies, Ice Hockey, Sunday Market & more

    After the short working week, it's time to relax again! This weekend it's all about entertainment at Docklands with free movies, sport, shopping & something for the kids.

    Docklands Classic Film Festival:
    Free Event, 7pm nightly
    Every night of the week features a different movie theme for you to enjoy. Director’s chairs are available plus popcorn, hot chocolate and other tasty treats are on offer from surrounding restaurants... Bellissimo and Mecca Bah make a delicious take away PIZZA and other hot food to keep you toasty warm.

    From their new home at Icehouse Docklands, Melbourne Ice take on Sydney Ice Dogs in the opening game of the 2010 AIHL season. Help cheer on Victoria's only representative team in the Australian Ice Hockey League.     Enjoy FREE classic movies under the starts in the Waterfront City Piazza. Kicking off Sunday at 7pm, free movies will be playing everyday through out Autumn.     This weekend @ Docklands: Live Earth Run for Water, Ice Skating, Footy & Weekend Specials

    Take a look at all that's happening around Docklands this weekend.

    The 'Dow Live Earth Run for Water' - Sunday, April 18th: Docklands has been selected as the Australian venue for this global environmental run/walk event, starting and finishing at Waterfront City. The ‘Dow Live Earth Run for Water’ will inspire the world’s citizens to come together on one day to help solve the world’s water crisis.

    Taking place in hundreds of countries around the world, over the course of 24 hours, the event features a 6km run or walk, followed by a concert and water education activities, igniting a massive global movement – all aimed at helping solve local and global water issues.

    Tim Rogers with support acts Skipping Girl Vinegar and the Custom Kings.

    Dino Stories at Designers' House:

    By popular demand Designers' House has extended their Dino Stories for 2 more weeks. The kids can hear wild stories as told by their in-house Archeologist, Fur-asaurous, while you snap up some of the great designer bargains on offer.

    This weekend: AFL, school holiday activities & Docklands restaurants now on Twitter

    This weekend marks the last one of the school holidays, so what better way to spend it than to bring the kids to Docklands for some great activities. These include:

    "Meet the Dinosaurs" at Harbour Town - Free event until 25th April: Watch a Raptor come to life at Harbour Town Shopping Centre. It's a free event with plenty of activities for the kids.

    Butchers Grill Banquet Dinner - Chilean earthquake fundraiser, Thurs 29th April

    In the aftermath of the terrible earthquake in Chile, Butchers Grill have decided to try and do their bit to support the victims of this tragic disaster.

    Butchers Grill at Docklands will be holding a special banquet dinner in aid of those affected by the devastating earthquake in Chile.

    Banquets: Butchers Grill will donate $5 from each person who orders a banquet on the night. Banquet menus start range from $49 to $69 per person (min 2 people).

    Wines: Chilean wine will be featured on the night.
    Raffle: With tickets sales being donated, you have the chance to win great prizes including a dinner cruise for 2 people, dining vouchers and wine.

    Meanwhile, Butchers Grill's sister restaurant in Bourke Street is also hosting a special Degustation Dinner to raise money for the earthquake relief effort.
