    What's on at Docklands: Home Town Hockey Clash, Free Ice Skating Lessons, Livebait Lunch & Platinum Club Savings

    Home Town Hockey Clash
    The biggest AIHL home town clash is on this weekend at Medibank Icehouse! This Saturday afternoon, come along to see Melbourne Ice take on the Groove Train Mustangs.
    Melbourne Ice pride themselves as being the 2010 national champions, whilst the Mustangs are out to prove themselves, newcomers to the league this year.
    Being the home ground for both Melbourne teams, the match is sure to be fierce as both teams strive for victory!

    Finish off the night with some good tucker & a few beers at nearby James Squire Hotel.

    Free Ice Skating Lessons
    Learn how to skate this winter! Never been ice skating before or just looking to improve your skills? Medibank Icehouse invites you to join a free 20 minute lesson to learn the basics of ice skating before you glide off to join the Public Skate session and show off your new talent.
    You can join as many free lessons as you like to work on your skills this winter. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, get your skates on!

    Long Weekend at Docklands: Black Light Mini Golf, Etihad Stadium Tour, Under Cover Sunday Market & Super Tuesday

    With an extra day added to our weekend, there’s no excuse to not get out and about!

    Family Fun at Black Light Mini Golf
    Mini Golf with a twist! The addition of UV lighting has transformed good old-fashioned mini golf into a “glow in the dark” experience, that’s fun for all the family.

    There’s 18 holes of fun, with the favourite being the The Kingswood Ute. In this hole, you hit the ball into the back of the ute and out it comes via the exhaust. You can even get into the car and listen to your favourite Australian tunes. This mini golf is the first of its kind in Australia.

    Black Light Mini Golf is located at Harbour Town Shopping Centre. Opening hours for this weekend are:
    Friday & Saturday: 10am til 11pm

    Docklands Under Cover Sunday Market
    The weather is sending everyone indoors, and now the weekly Sunday market at Docklands is following suit. Still featuring all the regular great stalls, the market now has a new under cover Winter location for June, July & August. Head along to find jewelry, hats and scarfs, kids clothing, books, gift ideas and much much more!

    Make a day of it and head to a nearby Docklands restaurant for lunch. A lunch favourite is Mecca Bah, with dishes full of Middle Eastern flavours and spices, located right on the Waterfront.

    The new location for the Docklands Sunday market is Pavilion at Waterfront City Piazza. (Opposite Tram D11 Docklands Drive). Trams head to the Docklands all day, but if you are looking to drive, Harbourside Shopping Centre has $5 all day parking.

    Etihad Stadium behind the scenes tour
    A lot of us have probably been to a football game or perhaps a concert at Etihad Stadium, but how many have actually seen what goes on behind the scenes?

    Head on a tour this weekend and visit the AFL players' change rooms, the players/coaches' briefing room, the coaches' box, experience the feel of walking up the AFL umpires' tunnel and much more. You’ll also find out lots of interesting facts about the venue, such as it being the only football stadium in the Southern Hemisphere with a fully retractable roof, taking only 8 minutes to close.

    What's On: Fox Classic Car Collection, Family Sundays at Icehouse, Harbour Walking Tour & The Good Food and Wine Festival

    Fox Classic Car Collection
    Head to the Docklands and view one of the largest Mercedes Benz car collections in the southern hemisphere.

    The Fox Classic Car Collection includes more than 50 prestige vehicles collected over a 20 year period by trucking businessman Lindsay Fox. Experience the high life while wandering through rows of luxurious vehicles such as the Porsche Spyder made famous by James Dean and the Mercedes 300SL that Pablo Picasso, Juan Fangio and Ava Gardner once owned.

    Marvel at the specifications of the high-powered engines of our performance vehicles and get a taste of life in the fast lane. The Sir Henry Royce Foundation Gallery (one of only three in the world) is also located in the Queen’s Warehouse. It features some significant Rolls Royce and Bentley vehicles.

    Family Sundays at Icehouse
    Every Sunday morning is all about families at Medibank Icehouse!

    There is a dedicated family rink from 9am – 12 noon as well as an Under 8’s Ice Fun and a dedicated snow play area. For the under 8’s Ice Fun we invite parents to get on the rink with their children to take part in the half lesson.
