What's on at Docklands: Urban Realities Design Challenge, Sunday Market, Home Show Giveaway & Glow Top 40 at Medibank Icehouse

    Urban Realities Design Challenge
If you didn’t make it down last week to see the Urban Reality teams in action, be sure to come down and see the results this weekend before the structures are taken down. The 3 day live design challenge included 10 teams drawing on their creative and practical skills to build a modern site in just 72 hours.

The participants ate, slept and worked on site to get the job done all whilst interacting with the public and using social media to win votes. The winning team, Dirtybuoy, wanted to embrace Melbourne’s water in their design, and created a water wall installation. One wall was made of 1500 snap locked bags filled with water from different sections of the Yarra, resulting in a spectrum
of different coloured water. The second were tubs filled with water pumped direct from the Yarra.

Click here to see the winning design as well as all pictures of the remaining teams design work.

This weekend is your very last chance to view the art before the structures are removed.
