It is great news for the New Year's Eve fireworks at Docklands, with the early 9.15pm display officially reinstated.
Melbourne City councillors voted unanimously to keep the early fireworks display, after concerns were raised over families mixing with 40,000 revellers heading to the Sensation dance party at Etihad Stadium.
“We will retain the 9.15pm fireworks at Docklands this year and review this decision in future years as we develop and progress our new event format," said councillor Kevin Louey.
This is sure to make the kids happy, read the official media release by clicking here.
