This Weekend at Docklands: Winter Skate Festival, Postcards, AFL Pre-Match Entertainment & Wonderland Fun Park

Winter Skate Festival
Medibank Icehouse has been transformed into a glittering winter dreamscape, and this is your last weekend to get in quick and enjoy loads of fun festival activities for the whole family!

The Festival includes free beginners skate lessons, snow play, giant snowballs on the ice, demonstrations by world class skaters, on ice dancing, games and lots of giveaways.
Kids can skate alongside Skater Dude, Fairy Penguin, figure skaters and other helpful ice ambassadors. A dedicated snow play area for children is also set up from 10am-5pm until Sunday to play games and build snowmen. Giant inflatable snow balls in the skating rink also add to the fun!

After all that skating, rebuild some energy with a meal from nearby waterfront restaurant Grill 66. They feature premium steaks cooked to perfection, and scrumptious desserts for all those sweet tooth's, such as the lemon meringue pie with raspberry sauce. Click here to view their menu.

The Winter Skate Festival runs until Sunday 17th.
Medibank Icehouse is open 7 days a week at 105 Pearl River Rd, Docklands.

Amazing prizes will be up for grabs, including a nights accommodation at the Grand Mercure and $200 Harbour Town shopping gift card! Be sure to watch to find some great new ways to discover Docklands and for your chance to win.

Postcards airs on this Sunday 17 July at 5:30pm on Channel 9.

AFL Pre-Match Entertainment
Head to James Squire for a bit of live music before the catching North Melbourne take on the Western Bulldogs!

Solo act Gavin Liddell will be playing all your favourite pub classics from 1-4pm. Have a bite to eat and a few handcrafted James Squire pots to get you ready for all the game play action just a short stroll away at Etihad Stadium!
After last week’s disastrous 117 point loss to Collingwood, North Melbourne will be fighting hard against the Bulldogs to gain some sort of reputation back.
The twilight match will be beginning at 4.40pm. Gates will open two hours prior to the match start time.
