Many restaurants along the waterfront are opening their doors and offering a family friendly dinner sitting for those who want to get out in time to enjoy the kids entertainment and early fireworks. A late sitting is also open for those who wish to sit back and enjoy the midnight fireworks from the comfort of the restaurant. Other venues are offering a ‘no booking’ policy so you can drop by for a bite to eat at your own leisure.

Getting to and from Docklands:
Public transport is free from 6pm on New Years Eve.
Train: Catch the train to Southern Cross Station.

Variety Santa Fun Run
Celebrate Christmas, have fun and raise awareness and funds for Variety, the children’s charity. The 2011 Variety Santa Fun Run takes you around Docklands & consists of either a 5km or 10km distance. You can run it, walk it, skip it, hop it – finish it however you like, but just make sure you do it in your official five piece Variety Santa suit. The suit cost is included in your registration fee.
